Making the Seltzer Stand Out in a Saturated Market
Holliday Brewing in Inman, SC, is known for being innovative with their flavors, and their Piña Colada Hard Seltzer was no exception. For this project, we focused on “flavor-first” design—making sure the visual matched the liquid inside. In a market where every seltzer looks the same, we wanted something that felt like a tropical getaway.
- High-Visibility Visuals: We used a vibrant color palette and custom graphics to ensure the can stands out in a cooler. By ditching the minimalist look for something more illustrative, the flavor is immediately clear to the consumer.
- Brand Continuity: Even with the new tropical look, we kept the Holliday Brewing logo prominent. This ensures that fans of their craft beer can easily find and trust the new seltzer line.
- Retail-Ready Layout: We designed the typography and icons to be legible at a distance, which is critical for impulse buys in a retail environment.
The final can is a functional marketing tool that helps Holliday Brewing expand their reach beyond traditional craft beer drinkers. By focusing on shelf-pop and clear flavor cues, we’ve given them a package that works just as hard as the product inside to drive sales.
