Project R.E.S.T. hosted its inaugural Denim & Daffodils Luncheon at Clevedale Historic Inn & Gardens to recognize Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Denim Day. The goal was to take a visible stand against victim-blaming, educate the Spartanburg community, and show solidarity with survivors of sexual violence.
To establish a strong foundation for this new initiative, we designed a custom visual identity. The resulting daffodil logomark integrates a blue jean pocket into its petals: a direct visual nod to Denim Day. We paired this core branding with targeted event promotion and social media management to drive ticket sales and regional awareness.
The strategy resulted in a sold-out room. Guests heard powerful perspectives from Dr. Sarah Wright on the psychological impact of sexual assault, as well as insights from Bill Rhyne regarding how the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office works to protect survivors locally. Our team documented the entire program through professional event photography and a video recap, extending the reach of the organization’s mission storytelling well beyond the actual event date.
In total, the inaugural luncheon raised over $5,000 to fund direct services for survivors. This success marks the latest milestone in our 8-year partnership with Project R.E.S.T. that began in 2018. Through consistent strategic support, we continue to help this vital nonprofit expand its reach and connect survivors with the resources they need across the Upstate.
